What you’ll do

• Lead worship services and rehearsals: craft song sets, direct vocalists and musicians, and lead worship across adult, college, and student contexts.
• Develop teams: recruit, train, mentor, and disciple volunteers and student worship/production teams.
• Design student-focused programming: co-create songs, transitions, media, and themes for student gatherings and events.
• Own event logistics: plan and coordinate camps, conferences, and worship events with attention to detail.
• Build volunteer culture: onboard, schedule, communicate with, and retain volunteers; manage staffing databases.
• Collaborate across staff: work closely with pastoral and central worship leaders to align practices, share resources, and support church-wide initiatives.
• Advise on worship facilities and long-term needs; serve in a supportive pastoral role as needed.

What we’re looking for

• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum 3 years leading contemporary worship and developing teams (equivalent experience considered).
• Heart: Vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus; committed to spiritual maturity, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Leadership: Proven ability to recruit, develop, and disciple volunteers of all ages.
• Skills: Excellent communication and relational skills; strong organization, scheduling, and event-management ability.
• Team player: Collaborative, adaptable, and committed to excellence in worship and ministry.

HOW WE GOT HERE

If God could take a little brick building on Tibet Ave in Savannah in 1964 and transform it into what Compassion Christian Church is today, what could He do through you? Our vision, from the day of our founding to today, has remained the same: to welcome people into our church and pray they leave feeling like they have found a home.

Over the years, we've expanded to seven campuses, plus an online presence, creating a multi-racial, multi-generational congregation dedicated to leading people to Jesus—not just in Southeast Georgia, but all across the world.
