Help Desk Support: Bridges Community Church, Los Altos Christian Schools
Reports to: Director of Media and Communications
Bridges Community Church is a Christian church in Los Altos, CA, in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area. We are looking for part-time help desk support for both the church and school on campus.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide on-campus support to church staff, school staff, and students through the use of an IT help desk ticketing system ensuring an excellent technological experience for staff and students.
- Computer repair and maintenance
- Software installation
- Software organization
- Printer management
- Onboarding/offboarding of staff and students
- Preparing computers, emails, and security access
- Administrate Google Workspace
- Provide regular communication and feedback on all projects and support needs
- Develop and adhere to a budget for the church and school’s technological needs
- Provide A/V support for school chapels and special events
- Respond to all requests with professionalism, discretion and service-orientation
- Build trust by maintaining confidence of information
- Coordinate with managed IT company (third party) to maintain network
- Work on projects when no help desk is needed
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- An active, growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is evidenced in action, attitude, and behavior.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving and research skills that translate to the ability to find solutions for staff/student problems when a solution is not immediately apparent
- Patience with staff/students/attenders and ability to remain calm
- Working knowledge of Windows/Chrome OS/Mac OS/Mobile platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RenWeb
- Experience in educational/non-profit environments
- Experience with Google Workspace, including Google Classroom
- Knowledge of network management and security
- Working knowledge of projectors, sound boards, light boards, and video (training will be provided)
- Project management skills and familiarity with project management software
- College degree
20 hours per week
