Scope: To oversee production of all graphic design content for events and weekly services to clearly connect people to Jesus.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Location: Northwest Bible Church, Dallas, TX
Responsibilities
Strategy
- Stay informed of current trends in visual design and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Maintain high standards of visual design across all projects.
- Ensure adherence to current church branding standards across all Northwest design and communications projects.
Management/Implementation
- Respond to all requests for creative assets and publicity to support timely and effective promotion of related ministry events.
- Organize and manage creative design projects, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Support the Senior Pastor, Communications Director, and Worship team in preparing and executing all graphic design initiatives for Sunday worship services, including creative visuals and publicity elements.
- Coordinate development of creative and promotional materials for special and church-wide events.
- Produce design layouts for print publications, including booklets, mailers, brochures, and curriculum.
- Produce graphics for campus signage (internal and external), including permanent and event-based installation projects.
- Manage timelines and expectations for each design project among staff.
- Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing and installation details for all creative design projects.
- Manage pre-production on all design projects outsourced for printing.
- Manage creative elements of Northwest’s website.
- Collaborate with Social Media Strategist to create visual elements in support of sermons, events, and church-wide initiatives.
- Collaborate with video and social media teams to maintain cohesion between branding standards and created assets.
Requirements
As a religious organization, all employees must affirm and adhere to the Church’s Doctrinal Statement of Faith and Statement on Marriage and Human Sexuality based upon its sincerely held religious beliefs, to qualify for involvement with the ministry. This is necessary to accomplish the Church’s religious mission, goals, and purpose.
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and as Lord.
- Active attendance and participation at Northwest Bible Church.
- Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field or 5 years professional experience.
- Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask.
- A solid portfolio displaying excellent command of graphic design principles and visual problem-solving skills.
