BACKGROUND

Core Community Church is a church located in North Central Ohio looking to be a church that fulfills God's calling for us to be the hope of the world. We are growing, hold two services, and are committed to continually making changes to become a church that makes a big impact in our city. We are contemporary in style and looking for a candidate who wants to be a part of an "Only God" story - only God could have done something that big in that city with that church. Our mission is to lead people one step closer to Jesus Christ every day. Our vison is to become a church fully committed to the unchurched. We believe that the heart of Christ was to reach lost people, and we want the heart of Core to model that. Being on staff at Core will require big risks, but reaching people no one else is reaching requires us to do things no one else is doing. We want our services & environments to be Christ-centered, creative, fun, done with excellence, and relevant to our everyday lives. The church has been given the most powerful message of all time and at Core, we desire to share that message with passion and excellence. We believe this position has the potential to take us to the next level.


On top of that, we will be transitioning from our current 6000+ square foot facility into a remodel of a 33,000+ square foot property in 2022. We've also acquired a 37,000+ square foot property that will become a Community Outreach Center for our city. We're looking for a candidate who is ready to go on a ride, willing to dream big dreams, share big visions, & take on big tasks for the sake of Kingdom advancement. There are big things coming!


PURPOSE

The Production Director will contribute to Core’s mission of leading people to move one step closer to Jesus Christ every day by engaging people and connecting them to God through music and creative elements during all services and events at Core Community Church.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, recruit, train, and lead volunteers in production roles, including audio, video, lighting, stage management/crew, and staging/scenery, by scheduling & coordinating volunteers, overseeing necessary technical training, and maintaining excellent working condition and user-friendliness of all equipment.
  • Prepare all essential production elements for weekend services and special events and ensure that production team members are equipped and informed regarding all relevant elements and details.
  • Maintain a forward-thinking approach to be prepared for all possible scenarios during practices and live events by exploring potential problem areas, maintaining flexibility to adapt to unforeseen circumstances, being willing to jump in and operate in any volunteer position on short notice if needed, and making appropriate revisions to strategy as the production team navigates a variety of situations.
  • Develop creative elements, lighting design, and stage design based on series
  • Video Development & gathering stories for videos
  • Website maintenance
  • Selection & Installation of all technical equipment across new buildings and environments
  • Volunteer Team Development
  • Train, develop, and delegate tasks to the volunteer team through on-the-job training, regular team-training times, one-on-one skill training, and other methods
  • Pastorally care for & appreciate your volunteer team
  • Oversee & increase the effectiveness & quality of the Service Livestream & other online engagement
  • Work closely with Lead Pastor to do everything necessary to impact our community & reach lost people
  • Other Responsibilities as needed (dependent on skill set of applicant)


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Supervisory:

  • Direct, lead, & train volunteers


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to lead people at a high-level
  • Ability to be a team player and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Ability to play an instrument, as well as lead others in their craft of playing or singing
  • Ability to make tough situations and have tough conversations for the betterment of Core
  • Ability to function within a team structure and work on tasks independently
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Display a driven personality & high work ethic
  • Willingness to constantly learn & receive feedback from leadership & volunteers


Experience & Education:

  • High school diploma required. College degree in related field desired.
  • Experience in sound, video, lighting, & other production elements
  • Internship or Staff experience desired in a fast-paced, contemporary worship environment
  • Personal & Spiritual Requirements:
  • Profess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
  • Commitment to personal spiritual growth and healthy lifestyle
  • Model valuable standards and expectations for leaders at Core
  • Tithe (within 3 months of hire)
  • Lead a Community Group (within 6 months of hire) o Regular attendance at all Core services & events
  • Abstain from alcohol, tobacco, & illegal substances
