Creekside Community Church is searching for a new Minister of Worship to join our leadership team. Our former Associate Pastor of Youth and Worship has moved into the role of Senior Pastor, so we are in a position to bring in someone new!
As far as style, we would describe our worship services as upbeat and blended. Most Sundays we sing a couple songs in the style of Chris Tomlin and/or Hillsong. Our own rural flair is reflected in throwing in some songs that have a folk feel—in the style of Rend Collective or Crowder. Finally, we like to incorporate a hymn once every couple of weeks. That said, we are open to someone leading the way forward in terms of introducing our congregation to new songs, and we expect our next worship leader to help our team expand both technically and stylistically. We have a strong team of volunteer musicians and singers who work well together.
At this time, we are offering this position as a 10-15 hour/week salaried position. As such, this would be the perfect job for either a current student, or someone who is willing to serve in a bi-vocational role for the time being.
Worship Minister Job Description (10-15 Hours)
Worship Responsibilities (Approximately 10 hours/week)
Additional Ministerial Responsibilities (up to 5 additional hours/week)
Our ideal candidate will exhibit the following traits:
If that describes you, please send us your resume, a cover letter, and a link to a video of you leading worship.
We are a congregation of approximately 150 people located in Elizabeth, Colorado (approximately 20 minute east of Castle Rock). Elizabeth is a town in transition—the population of Elbert County is due to double over the next 20 years—with much of that growth being centered in our town. To learn more, you can see a recent news article on the town and how it is poised for growth here: https://www.9news.com/article/money/economy/small-town-elizabeth-prepares-for-growth/73-38b2c7ff-d496-4553-a296-3cd978e55b1b
We believe that our church is positioned to take advantage of this growth for kingdom impact. We exist to help people connect up to Christ, in to a community of genuine friendship, and—ultimately—out in service to make this world the place God always wanted it to be.
