Full-Time Worship Pastor

Oakhill Baptist Church is a vibrant, growing, multi-generational, multi-staff church in Evansville, Indiana. We possess vibrant, weekly worship experiences that are coupled with dynamic preaching. We are seeking a full-time Worship Pastor that will partner with our church to enhance the Worship Ministry.

Oakhill is a very healthy and growing church. The Pastor and elders enjoy partnering together in ministry and genuinely care for one another. The church has a sweet, loving, and supportive way about it. While it is not a perfect church, it does reflect a church that has its priorities in the right place. Oakhill is blessed with many talented musicians that love to use their giftedness to serve the Lord. We also have a robust production team that handles sound, lights, presentation, and live streaming. The Worship Pastor will step into this role having great worship and tech teams to work with.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and oversee all the elements of the Worship Ministry.

• Craft the worship service in conjunction with the Lead Pastor.

• Lead and develop Worship Ministry volunteers.

• Plan and oversee any special services or occasional worship events.

• Supervise the production team as well as any volunteers or staff that contribute to the creative parts of the worship ministry such as graphics, set dressing, lighting, sound, etc.

• View yourself as a pastor at Oakhill Baptist Church. Teaching and pastoral care duties may be required occasionally (such as hospital visits, discipleship, counseling, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Be a baptized believer in the Lord Jesus Christ that is called to full-time vocational ministry.

• Must meet the biblical qualifications for an elder found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.

• Must have experience leading worship and be able to supervise the Worship Ministry.

• A bachelor's degree in a related field such as music/worship is a preferable requirement for this position, along with 3-5 years of experience leading worship.

• Compensation is based upon qualifications and experience. Health insurance is provided for our Worship Pastor and his family. Vacation, personal days, and conference time is also provided.

The city has several well-known institutions of higher education such as the University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana.
