About Westwood Community Church

Who we are:

Welcome to Westwood Community Church. We exist to help people find and follow Jesus. We do this through relevant Bible teaching, modern worship and creating a variety of opportunities for significant and supportive relationships. We are better together when we are in it together.

Whether this is your first time visiting a church or your thousandth time, we want you to feel welcome here. Come as you are—in jeans or your Sunday best. Wherever you are in your faith, we want to meet you where you are and help you navigate life.

Our History:

Westwood Community Church began in 1995 as an outreach to the Southwest Minneapolis suburbs by Wooddale Church. During the early years, Westwood held services in rented locations until a permanent church building in Chanhassen was constructed in 2003. Just as our roots grew out of a desire to share God’s love in communities that are lacking churches, in 2011 we helped start Westbrook Church in Chaska.

Our first multisite location, Westwood Minnetonka, launched in 2016 in a rented facility. Services were suspended there in the summer of 2019 with the hope to relaunch when a new location can be secured in the future. Westwood Bush Lake opened in 2018. A multisite church is a church that meets for worship in more than one location and has a shared budget and common leadership.
