Overview:
The Minister of Congregational Care serves as a vital member of the pastoral team at the Community Church at Tellico Village, providing leadership and oversight for the church’s Pastoral Care Ministry. This role focuses on ensuring that members of the congregation receive consistent spiritual and emotional support through counseling, visitation, prayer, and coordination of care teams. The Minister also trains and equips lay leaders and volunteers to extend pastoral care efforts, fostering a compassionate and connected church community that embodies the mission of Christ’s love and service.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
In addition to leading pastoral care, the Minister assists the Senior Pastor with preaching, teaching, and leadership of designated ministry teams. This includes participation in sermon preparation, Bible studies, and adult education, as well as collaboration with church staff to strengthen congregational life. The ideal candidate holds a Master of Divinity (or equivalent), is ordained or pursuing ordination, and brings proven experience in pastoral care and teaching. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a collaborative spirit are essential for this full-time ministry role dedicated to cultivating disciples and strengthening the body of Christ.
