Next Gen Pastor (Part-Time)
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Location: Joy Church – Pittsfield, NH
Hours: Part-time (approximately 10–20 hours/week) negotiable
Overview
The Next Gen Pastor at Joy Church is a vital part of our mission to “Impact our Communities with the Father’s love and raise up a body of believers committed in relationship with Jesus Christ and with one another.” We aim to reach, disciple, and empower the next generation for Jesus. This position oversees both Children’s and Youth Ministries, ensuring that our youngest attenders grow up knowing and loving God in a safe, engaging, and Spirit-filled environment.
The ideal candidate is passionate about seeing kids and teens encounter Jesus, gifted in leadership and team-building, and committed to creating a culture where volunteers thrive and families feel supported.
Primary Responsibilities
· Children’s Ministry Oversight (Sunday Mornings)
• Lead and oversee all aspects of Joy Church Kids (J-Kidz) Nursery through 5th Grade.
• Recruit, train, and schedule volunteer teams for Sunday ministry.
• Prepare weekly lessons, curriculum, and crafts.
• Teach regularly and ensure lessons are biblically sound, engaging, and age-appropriate.
• Create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for all children.
• Ensure all practices comply with Foursquare’s Children’s Safety Policy.
· Youth Ministry Oversight
• Provide leadership, direction, and care for Joy Church Youth (Integrity Youth) 6th–12th Grade.
• Mentor the Youth Director to support youth gatherings and events.
• Oversee regular youth group, events, and activities that foster spiritual growth and community.
• Engage relationally with students and their families.
· Special Events and Additional Responsibilities
• Plan and lead special children’s events such as VBS and Harvest Fair.
• Schedule and coordinate volunteers for childcare during Welcome Parties, Annual Meetings, and other church-wide events.
• Work collaboratively with the Lead Pastor and staff team to support the church’s vision and mission.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to keep them informed and involved.
Qualifications
• A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a growing, Spirit-led faith.
• Agreement with the beliefs and values of Joy Church and the Foursquare Church.
· A covenant member of Joy Church adhering to tithing, attendance and LifeGroup commitments.
• Experience in children’s and/or youth ministry (volunteer or staff).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build teams and develop volunteers.
• A heart for discipleship and a passion for seeing young people come to know Jesus.
• Willingness to submit to background checks and adhere to all safety protocols.

• Part-time, hourly or stipend-based compensation (commensurate with experience).
