Role Title: Director of Social Media and Communications
Department: Creative and Communications
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Accountable for: Church wide communications, digital strategy, social media,
storytelling, and online brand presence
A. Objectives
1. You are the person for this role if you want to help translate the felt experience of
our church into the digital space with innovation and creativity.
2. To expand Doxa Church’s reach and resonance through creative and strategic
communication that helps more people encounter Jesus.
3. To craft and tell the stories of what God is doing through Doxa in a way that
connects with both believers and skeptics in the greater Seattle area.
4. To align all visual and written communication with Doxa’s theology, tone, and
mission.
5. To innovate in the digital space with a missionary mindset using social media and
content as tools for gospel engagement.
B. Areas of Responsibility and Associated Actions
• Responsibility #1: Digital Strategy and Planning (25%)
• Develop and execute a unified communications plan across all major platforms
including Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and podcasts.
• Create a social media content calendar aligned with sermon series, events, and
Doxa’s mission.
• Partner with the Lead Pastor to grow personal digital platforms and podcast
reach for maximum church engagement.
• Track analytics and engagement to measure and refine strategy monthly.
• Responsibility #2: Content Creation and Storytelling (35%)
• Be present on Sundays capturing photography (or leveraging current
photographers), short form video, and stories that highlight what God is doing.
• Edit and post social media content, sermon clips, and video stories that
communicate Doxa’s values and vision.
• Collaborate with Worship and Production to ensure excellence and consistency
in all creative content.
• Oversee the design and rollout of sermon series artwork, event branding, and
visuals.
• Responsibility #3: Brand Development and Communication Systems (25%)
• Ensure Doxa’s brand and tone are consistent across all communication
channels including web, email, slides, print, and social.
• Manage digital ads, newsletters, and internal communication flow.
• Write and edit clear and compelling copy for church wide messaging and
campaigns.
• Support ministry teams with communication tools and templates that help them
communicate effectively.
• Responsibility #4: Culture and Team Development (15%)
• Recruit and lead a small volunteer creative team of photographers, editors, and
storytellers.
• Champion innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the creative culture of
Doxa.
• Help shape a communication culture that is joyful, gospel centered, and forward
thinking.
• Model humility, creativity, and excellence in teamwork and execution.

5. Annual digital communications and content calendar.
6. Consistent weekly social media posting rhythm.
7. Monthly analytics report for growth and engagement.
8. Sermon clip library and photo archive for ongoing use.
9. Cohesive design and communication standards guide.

• Doxa’s online presence is consistent, beautiful, and gospel centered.
• Church communication is clear, timely, and compelling.
• Online and in person engagement grows measurably over time.
• Doxa’s story is being told well across platforms connecting with both believers and
seekers.
• The Lead Pastor’s personal platforms are aligned, active, and multiplying reach.
• A volunteer creative team is active, equipped, and thriving.
