Technical Director The Technical Director will support the mission of River of Life Christian Center by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the AVL Ministry regarding audio, lighting, and video. The Technical Director’s ultimate goal is to ensure that services and events across all facilities and ministries are able to utilize the most up-to-date technologies efficiently, effectively, and strategically in order to enhance the experience of those attending. Ministry Area/Department Contracted Vendor Position Technical Director Accountable To Pastors/Business Manager Ministry Target Tech Ministry Volunteers and Vendors Work Hours In person service days, Wednesday recording and rehearsals – other times as needed Position Is Contracted Vendor Position May Be Filled By Church member Talents or Abilities Desired ● Expert knowledge of audio systems and large-format digital consoles. Allen & Heath digital family a plus ● Familiarity with personal monitoring (i.e. ME1) and digital audio networks (i.e. DANTE) ● Expert knowledge of media in the context of worship services ● Detailed knowledge of live and streaming video environments ● Video switcher with multiple cameras (Ross/Broadcast Pix) ● Presentation software (ProPresenter) ● Detailed knowledge of projectors, displays and video transmission ● Expert knowledge of lighting in the context of worship services ● Knowledge of theatrical, intelligent, LED and lighting for video. GrandMA & ETC consoles a plus ● Knowledge of LED video walls a plus ● Knowledge of Photoshop a plus Best Personality Traits Dependable • Discreet • Friendly • Professional • Neat Passion For Providing technical support for worship services and events: Length of Service Commitment Two years minimum Requirement Saved Christian Anticipated Time Commitments Attending all services unless previous scheduling has been approved. Primary Responsibilities To ensure the ministry runs smoothly by: Maintain a reliable system for providing technical support for all worship services and events. This includes (but is not limited to): ● Audio mixing, monitor mixing, and audio recording ● Lighting production ● Switching with multiple cameras (IMAG) ● Video recording, and live streaming production ● ProPresenter/PowerPoint presentation ● Prepare stage for rehearsals, worship services, and events ● Initiate successful communication with Pastors, Director of Music & Worship, ministry leaders, and event coordinators in order to help facilitate AVL
