Principle Function:

The Student Pastor principal function is to implement and carry out a vision to

lead middle and high school students in a program of evangelism, discipleship and ministry.

Hours:

Full time position. The student pastor is available and on call 24 hours a day. The weekly office hours

include 8am-4pm Monday – Thursday. Sunday morning/evening and Wednesday evening service attendance required

Responsibilities:

The Student Pastor reports directly to the Sr. Pastor and will assist him in any pastoral

functions as the pastor deems necessary.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Support the vision of both the Sr Pastor and the mission of BBC

• Enlist and train adult and student volunteers

• Carry out a Youth strategy that is evangelistic in nature

• Work with the Sr Pastor on training and growth opportunities

• Supply the pulpit in the absence of Sr Pastor when needed

• Work with Pastor and Finance Committee on annual budget. Responsible for financial stewardship of appropriate budget line items relating to role

• Ensure proper care and maintenance of all church student ministry assets including sound equipment, musical instruments, student equipment, supplies, etc

• Carry out a clear growth strategy for reaching students, discipling, involving students in ministry and plan special events that support this strategy

• Establish trusting relationships with middle/high school campuses

• Plan and organize summer camp and outreach events

• Implement an Acts 1:8 mission strategy for middle/high school students

• Provide overall leadership to student mission trips
