Music Director

FWC is looking for a full time employee that will function as our Music Director. We’re looking for a musician who loves to worship God and who’s ready to grow with us as we expand throughout South Carolina!

The Company: Family Worship Center is an exciting, energetic church for all ages and cultures with locations in Florence, Georgetown, Columbia, and Sumter, SC. We are a growing church making a massive impact in our region! FWC is a non-denominational church with a Pentecostal belief system. This employee would be expected to flow within our doctrines and style of worship.

This job opening is for our Florence, SC location, but may involve periodic traveling to some of our other church locations, as needed. Relocation to Florence is required.

The Position: This is a full-time Music Director position which involves playing for Sunday services, mid-week services, weekly rehearsals, as well as training other musicians for all of our FWC locations, as needed. Family Worship Center is a very diverse congregation, therefore the applicant must be musically diverse in multiple genres. Furthermore, expectations and responsibilities include:

• Experience using Planning Center Online for volunteer scheduling, music preparation, organization, and communication

• High level proficiency in playing an instrument (piano/keyboard is preferred)

• Should be able to read music (mid-level, minimum), and teach piano to others

• Working knowledge of chord carts (reading and writing)

• Knowledge of choral or worship team leading and instruction

• Applicant will be responsible for all service music prep and implementation

• Knowledge of music programs and DAW’s like Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Sibelius, MainStage, Melodyne, Ableton, GarageBand, etc. (Any or all would be helpful)

• Knowledge of working with multitracks and stems

• Familiarity with Apple devices, Mac computers, iPhones, and the Apple ecosystem.

• A music degree is preferred but not required
