Associate Pastor of Worship and Next Steps

COMPENSATION: 65k+Health plan

OVERVIEW: The Associate Pastor of Worship Ministry and First Steps is primarity responsible for Sunday Worship and any other special services assigned by the pastor. This includes supporting responsibilities such as sound, slides, bulletin, connection cards, greeters and other volunteers. This position WINS when church worship services are glorifying to God and members of the church are equipped to worship and taught the value of worship.

GOALS:

· 25 life-change God stories in 2023.

· 50 Worship ministry volunteers serving regularly

· 40 Committment cards in 2023

RESPONSIBILITIES:

General

· Conduct yourself above reproach

· Participate in staff-related office functions by attending and participating in meetings, including attending all staff meetings unless excused by the pastor.

Worship Ministry

· Collaborate with the senior pastor regarding implementation of the mission and vision of the church

· Assist pastor in planning services

· Coordinate with the Administrative Pastor and finance committee to oversee, manage, and budget the finances of the worship ministry.

· Lead and/or coordinate replacement to lead the music portion of the worship services.

· Plan and coordinate special worship events

· Develop a process to regularly identify and deploy new volunteers in the church’s worship ministry including the choir, instrumentalists, and worship team.

· Oversee the church’s worship support technology ministry

· Oversee the maintenance of all musical instruments owned by the church

First Steps Ministry

· Assist pastor in organizing ministries to bring people from initial connection into commitment

· Assist in teaching the new member’s class

Woodridge Baptist Church is dedicated to sacrificing 'whatever it takes' to reach 'just one more' fully devoted disciple of 'only Jesus.' Woodridge is currently a blended church with a new pastor who is leader a disciple-making revitalization.
