Church Planter - West Schuylkill Location Lead

Purpose Statement: To develop a group of 150+ people that attend LCBC West Schuylkill on a regular basis that are engaged weekly with growing their relationship with Jesus at a deeper level.

Reports to: Director of Community Gatherings

Hours Commitment: Full-time -- 40 - 50 hours/week with regular weekend responsibilities.

Personal Qualifications:

• Can articulate an identifiable salvation experience.

• Lives out a pattern of spiritual development characterized by prayer, Bible study,

stewardship, and regular participation at LCBC.

• Supports LCBC's vision, mission, priorities, philosophy of ministry and doctrinal statement.

• Supports LCBC's core values: focus on others; work with excellence; prioritize relationships; and live authentically.

• Be an LCBC Partner or willing to become a Partner within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities:

• Working with the Director of Community Gatherings, develop a strategic plan for meeting people in the community.
• Develop a like-minded, core group of people who understand the vision of reaching the area.
• Plug into key local organizations to establish a network of movers and shakers throughout the community.
• Build, develop, disciple and empower a lead team of volunteers to do the work of the ministry - give away very real responsibilities. Then teach and guide that team to do the same.
• Continue to develop kidMinistry, Guest Experience, Next Steps, Student Ministry and Production.
• Keep the location attendees and lead volunteer team focused on the most appropriate expression of LCBC ministry in the context of their size and growth trajectory. Help them learn to say "no" to good, to make room for what is best.
• Get involved in Community related functions outside of LCBC, particularly through service in the community.
• Invite the community to utilize the building during the week for approved purposes.
• Learn people's names and stories. Invest in building relationships with others.
• Move people to take their next step in their relationship with Jesus.

Expectations:

Develop the Lead Team:

• Within the first 24 months this lead team should consist of:
• kidMinistry (kidMinistry Leader within the first 8-10 Months)
• Production (Production Lead and a team if needed within the first 12 months)
• Guest Experience/Next Steps (Location Lead carries Guest Experience/Next Steps until attendance hits 40-50)

Develop overall/general attendance:

• Within the first 12-18 months the General Attendance should be 75-100 active Attendees
• Within the first 24 months the General Attendance should be 100-150 active Attendees

Develop Groups:

• Within the first 12 months develop 1-2 small groups

Develop Community Relationships:

• Within the first 6-12 months identify and connect with 1-2 community organizations that are making a difference in the community.

Develop Student Ministry (5th-12th grades):

• Provide weekly student gatherings and frequent student engagements.
• Utilize LCBC Student Ministry programming
