KIDS MINISTRY DIRECTOR

The Kids Ministry Director is a strategic role at Westside Community Church whose primary responsibility is to be an advocate for those families not yet connected as well as those already on a journey of faith. This role is to oversee all elements of service programming for Westside Community Church’s Kids Ministry.

• The ability to align staff and volunteers with the vision, values, and strategy of Westside Community Church. 
• Leadership experience in developing a team.
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
• Passion for reaching unchurched families.
• A drive for supporting families as they navigate faith.

Responsibilities: 

• To lead your team with excellence through recruiting, weekly team rallies, coaching, training, and resourcing to your team
• To develop leaders 
• On adult teams by creating opportunities for apprenticeship and leadership growth.
• And, with the kids participating in the service. 
• Ensure that every child has the opportunity to have fun, to learn and to build relationships every week. 
• Ensure that every volunteer has the tools, curriculum, and training they need each week to be successful. 
• Drive ministry excellence and growth of the ministry. 

The Kids Ministry Director is a:

The Kids Ministry Director is not a :

• Babysitter
• Classroom Teacher

The Position

The Kids Director position is a three quarter time position, with extended hours on Sundays which currently includes 2 services and team meetings.
