Job Description Overview:

Crossroads is an evangelical church grounded in the inerrant Word of God. The candidate will agree with our doctrine, policies, and positions because he values truth. The candidate will also skillfully love people for the sake of the gospel. This kind of maturity is important to Crossroads’ culture.

Crossroads is also seeking a candidate who sharpens and makes our body better. CCC practices continuous improvement. We value the best ideas and so expect the candidate to bring better practices and ministry ideas while knowing how to do so respectfully.

Discipleship is our core emphasis. Discipleship can broadly be defined as whatever you do to help a person grow in his/her relationship with Christ. CCC is looking for a candidate who knows how to disciple the next generation by skillfully imparting the Word of God as well as their life, I Thessalonians 2: 8.

We are set in a small semi-rural but growing community. Our church is filled with generous and growing people. We are looking to grow and prepare ourselves for the next step in leadership.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Fill the pulpit 36 times per year

• Perform weddings and funerals

• Lead Membership and Baptism Classes

• Participate in “NEXT” Connection gatherings

• Assist the senior pastor with oversight of the church ministries

• Assist the senior pastor with leadership development

• Focus on next generation development: Marriage and Parenting, Discipleship

NECESSITIES:

Bachelor’s Degree required

• Strong biblical literacy

• Demonstrates skills in leadership

• Good relational skills – high E Q

• Willingness to be coached

• Doctrinal beliefs consistent with those of Crossroads Community Church

• Outgoing people-loving connector

• Shares his faith with those outside the church

Crossroads Community Church is an evangelical church of 200 worshippers in Northeast, Ohio. We are committed to discipleship. Our mission is to equip and build confident Christ followers. We accomplish our mission through bible studies, and Life Groups studying and applying the Word of God to our lives. We are a church with a demographic of ages spread throughout the decades. We are open to fresh ideas, friendly, and are a great church and community in which to raise a family. We have a very positive image in our community for being involved in serving.
