Ministry Description Overview:

Disciple parents and student volunteers to equip and build God confidence in the hearts of children and students who worship at Crossroads as well as those who live in our local Northeast, Ohio community.

GENERAL:

We are looking for an evangelical married man with a heart and passion to support our theme of Family Formation for Future Generations. The qualified candidate will be skilled at talking with parents in our community who don’t share our faith in Christ, but who wish to be good dads and moms. He will provide venues – workshops/classes and events to resource the parents of our community. He will be gifted in creating a welcoming atmosphere and parenting culture, providing onramps for families to get connected to God and to the people of Crossroads. The candidate will be competent and winsome in communicating biblical wisdom to parents. In addition, he will disciple moms and dads in discussions about true masculinity and femininity from a biblical view.

DUTIES:

• Oversee all areas of children and youth ministries

• Supply direction and new goals/vision for our ministries

• Train and empower a base of volunteers to serve families.

• Strengthen families to help them become great followers of Christ (parenting and marriage classes…)

• Establish the annual budget for Family Ministries

• Participate in staff meetings

• Assist the pastor with baptism and partnership classes

• Fill the pulpit.

NECESSITIES:

Bachelor’s Degree required (Family Ministry, Psychology, Social Work, Education, Theology)

• Strong biblical literacy

• Track record that demonstrates skills in leadership

• Passion for families

• Ability to build teams and delegate to others

• Willingness to be mentored and coached to improve as a disciple and leader

• Ability to mediate conflict resolution

• Doctrinal beliefs consistent with those of Crossroads Community Church

• Outgoing people-loving connector

• Maintains personal delight and encouragement in the Lord

• Partners with volunteers to create an attractive, fun, and scripturally solid service to our community

Crossroads Community Church is an evangelical church of 200 worshippers in Northeast, Ohio. We are committed to discipleship. Our mission is to equip and build confident Christ followers. We accomplish our mission through bible studies, and Life Groups studying and applying the Word of God to our lives. We are a church with a demographic of ages spread throughout the decades. We are open to fresh ideas, friendly, and are a great church and community in which to raise a family. We have a very positive image in our community for being involved in serving.
