First Baptist Church of Pensacola is currently looking for our next Minister of Children. We are a multi generational church located in beautiful downtown Pensacola. Pensacola is a wonderful area to raise a family and enjoy living where people vacation. The staff position of Children’s Minister is an important role within the Education Ministry Team. The person who fills this role will be responsible for implementing the church's strategy for outreach, discipleship, and ministry to children from birth through 6th grade. The Children's Minister we are looking for must have a passion for helping children grow in their faith. In addition to assisting in planning experiences that accomplish the mission of the church/children’s ministry and equipping methods with students, this person is directly responsible for implementing ministry strategies with children individually and through collaborative leadership with other members and staff of First Baptist Church of Pensacola.

First Baptist Church of Pensacola sits on top of the hill in downtown Pensacola. We have spent the last 176 years seeking to bring glory to God through our ministries and missions here in Pensacola, FL and beyond. While we are an old church, we feel the best way to honor the past is to look to the future. Downtown Pensacola is growing and so is First Baptist Church of Pensacola. Our largest area of growth is currently in the young adult area, which also means we are growing in both the youth and children's areas. It is an exciting time to be here at First Baptist Church.
We are unique in the sense that we offer to very distinct corporate worship gatherings. Our 8:15 service is more contemporary and casual, while our 10:45 service is much more traditional with music led by a choir and orchestra. We have small group Bible Study time in between the two services for all ages. Our pastor preaches Biblically sound expository sermons with very real time application to the current world.
