Harvest is a church that is 31 years old. Gary Bragg is the founding pastor and current lead pastor. We have 3 other pastors on staff. Two of those pastors have 20+ years of being on staff at Harvest.
We are located in Wapakoneta, OH. We consider ourselves to live in a small rural community with a population of around 10,000. Our target audience is 20-30 year old families with children. We have a good mix of blue collar and white collar in our congregation. We currently have 2 Sunday services with an average attendance of 550. We also have Wednesday night services for our children and student ministries.
We are focused on helping people know Jesus in a deep personal way. We emphasis 3 things to our congregation. Surrender, Grow, Serve. Surrender your life initially to Jesus and have a personal relationship with Him. Then daily surrender your plans, desires, and wants to His plan. Grow daily in your love and walk with Jesus. We believe that knowing scripture is key. This year we have been reading through the whole Bible (30,000 foot view) and preaching each Sunday from one of the passages that we have just read. We desire to see deeply rooted followers of Jesus. Serve people within the church and in our community. We try to provide ways for people to be involved in serving here at Harvest and ways that we can serve our community. We encourage members to be serving in their community as they have the opportunity. All this to say the we desire to help people walk with Jesus in a meaningful way that will change them and the world around them.
