We are Living Lord Lutheran Church located at 851 Niles-Cortland Road,, N.E., in Howland Township, Warren, Ohio 44484. Our mission statement is “As the body of the Living Lord, Jesus Christ, we seek to reflect and share God’s grace, love, and forgiveness with one another near and far.” We are looking forward to celebrating our 60th anniversary in 2024.
We are looking for a part-time pastor to lead us on our new journey. Our last pastor retired after being with us for ten years. We are being served with an interim pastor from the Northeast Ohio Synod. We have 125 baptized members and between 40 to 50 members attending worship each Sunday. As of this time, we have a few younger children. We are an older congregation with hopes of increasing our membership with your help. We have active Council Committees, such as Evangelism, Fellowship, In-Reach, Outreach, Parish Education, Property, and Worship with support from our membership.
We have a well maintained building with a Narthex, Fellowship Hall (seating 75), and an Education Wing. The outside of the building is also well maintained with beautiful landscaping. We have been blessed with an endowment which enables us to keep the church in tip-top shape.
When we say part-time, we are looking for someone who can give us Sundays and at least two other days of the week. We need someone who can visit shut-ins, perform funerals and weddings, and perform other pastoral duties. All of this can be negotiated. We will pay by the Synod guidelines. We are an ELCA Lutheran church, but we have several full communion partners which are Presbyterian Church (USA), Reformed Church in America, United Church of Christ, Episcopal Church, United Methodist Church, and the Moravian Church, which can lead our church.
You may view photos of our church and see our Ministry Site Profile at our website, www.lllc.org. This is the short version of our story here at Living Lord Lutheran Church. We look forward to telling you more…
