Worship Leader

ROLE DESCRIPTION 

The Worship Leader - Colorado Springs leads the church to become a more worshiping congregation by consistently and passionately bringing a sacrifice of pure praise to the Lord; by diligently seeking ever-increasing congregational engagement that is fully aligned with the biblical expression of worship, always directed upward to Him – not for the sake of our comfort, our preference, or what we get out of it, but solely for what God gets out of it.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

LEAD CATALYTIC WORSHIP FOR SERVICES

• Ensure worship services are pleasing to God and anointed by Him as a result of a burning heart for Christ, a pursuit of holiness, an abundance of love, a devotion to prayer, and an absence of all personal motives
• Develop and lead worship in a manner that expresses the biblical expression of worship, as well as the essential tenets and beliefs of Revolution Church, and reflects the sermon topic of the day
• Lead and teach attenders to express their love up to God in worship in all the ways God prescribes
• Provide spiritual leadership through lifestyle, worship, and verbal expression 
• Lead teams to produce a consistent brand of music and worship with consistency of vibe, song selection, quality, sound, mix, etc.
• Drive for excellence in all aspects of worship and production as well as ever-improving worship sets

BUILD AND LEAD THE COLORADO SPRINGS WORSHIP AND PRODUCTION TEAM

• Oversee all aspects of Colorado Springs worship and production
• Recruit, develop, train and retain instrumentalists, vocalists, and production team contractors and volunteers
• Envision and spiritually lead the team, communicate expectations, and run music 
• Manage rehearsals effectively while keeping the focus of worship about praising God
• Schedule and coordinate worship and production team operations
• Provide direction, care, support, and coaching for band members 
• Build a culture defined by love and unity while envisioning, praying with, and training team members

We know that there was once a community of Christians who, against all odds, and in the face of persecution and powerful pressures to extinguish them, lived out their faith in such a way that Jesus transformed an empire from worshiping an emperor into worshiping Jesus in only a few generations. We do not believe there has to be a gap between what we read in our New Testaments and what we experience today. Instead, we dream of a revolution.

WHAT’S UNIQUE ABOUT US?

Church of the Front Range is a body of believers who live for the all-all pursuit of God: All Worship, all Prayer, all Word and all Spirit.

All Worship

Unsung praise is the holy discontent of our hearts. We believe that God who is worthy of all should be worshipped with all in all the ways prescribed in Scripture. We worship with pure praise, not for the sake of our comfort, our preference or what we get out of it, but for what God gets out of it.

All Prayer

We won’t stop short of being a people who reclaim and spearhead a movement of dependence and desperation in the place of prayer so that His Kingdom will come and His will be done in our lives, in our church, on the front range, and on the frontiers of world mission.

All Word

We are called to be a people who seek God in His Word daily, and a people who obey God’s Word fully, not picking and parceling out parts and pieces. We are committed to preaching the full counsel of God’s Word in church, not just the palatable parts or culturally accepted scriptures.

All Spirit

We want all of what He can do and all of what He wants to do. We want every spiritual grace/gift to flourish in its fullness here. We want to be led by the Spirit of God, experience the Spirit of God and celebrate the fullness of what He does.
