Position Description
Job Title: Children’s Ministry Director (part-time)
Reports to: Senior Pastor/Lead Pastor
Overview
North Bible Church is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Children’s Ministry Director (K – 5). We are looking for a passionate leader of kids and families, who loves Jesus, loves kids, and can build and support a great team who can connect those kids to Jesus.
General Requirements
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for the children's ministry program in alignment with the mission and values of North Bible Church.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of Sunday morning worship and learning for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade, as well as events and that help kids learn, grow and have fun doing it (VBS, special activities, etc.)
- Recruit, train, and empower a team of volunteers to serve in various capacities within the children's ministry (teachers, helpers, event coordinators)
- Utilize age-appropriate curriculum and teaching materials that are biblically sound, engaging, relevant to the developmental needs of children, and can help equip parents to be the primary spiritual leaders and investors in the lives of kids.
- Foster a welcoming environment where children feel valued, loved, and accepted regardless of their background or abilities.
- Connect: Make kids ministry fun and approachable. Establish effective communication channels with parents to keep them informed about upcoming events and opportunities for involvement.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the children's ministry program on a regular basis and implement improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
- A deep personal faith in Jesus Christ and agreement with the statement of faith outlined by North Bible Church.
- Bachelor's degree in theology, Christian education, child development, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience working in children's ministry or related field, with a proven track record of leadership and program development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to children, parents, volunteers, and staff members from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

We are looking for a leader who passionately loves Jesus, families, and children. Our ideal candidate will have the heart, experience, and skill set to equip children and families to be fully devoted disciple-making disciples of Jesus.
