Youth Pastor

At Providence we desire for our students to grow in their faith. We are searching for someone to help us achieve that end.

The ideal candidate will have a heart for working with young people and a desire to share the love of Christ with them. They will be responsible for leading our youth ministry, which includes teaching, discipleship, outreach, and fellowship activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop a Youth Leadership Team, including both staff and volunteers. Recruit, train, and shepherd all student ministry volunteers.

• Developing and implementing a comprehensive youth ministry program that meets the spiritual needs of our students

• Providing leadership and guidance to youth volunteers and leaders

• Teaching and preaching the Word of God in a way that is engaging and relevant to young people

• Building relationships with parents and families to create a supportive and cohesive community

• Build relationships with students by being an active presence in local high schools (as allowed) with periodic visits engage students at school.

• Creating a fun and welcoming environment that encourages students to grow in their relationship with Christ and with one another

• Assist the Pastor in making the Youth Ministry a vital function of the overall church, not just a silo for students.

Qualifications:

• A deep and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field (divinity, theology, Christian education, etc.) is preferred

• Experience in youth ministry or a related field

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and parents

• Understanding and alignment with the BFM 2000 and practices
