ABOUT THE POSITION

The Music and Worship Pastor is responsible to the Lead Pastor and the Ministries and Administration Pastor for developing, planning, implementing, conducting, scheduling, and evaluating the Music and Worship Ministries of the church.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

-IMPERATIVE DUTIES

3. Support and encourage the Lead Pastor


4. Support, encourage, and lead other staff and lay leaders well


-WORSHIP LEADERSHIP

1. Direct the planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluating of a comprehensive Music Ministry


2. Coordinate congregational worship at main venues and services


3. Coordinate with the Lead Pastor in planning all worship services


4. Work with teams and leaders to select, practice, and execute worship for all services


5. Coordinate the order of worship services and schedule of leaders and volunteers


6. Oversees the quality of the worship atmosphere in all services at all venues


7. Oversees the quality of production for TV20 and livestreams


8. Recruit, train, mentor, and deploy staff, leaders, and volunteers to lead and serve on teams in the worship ministry


-MUSIC LEADERSHIP

1. Coordinate church music programs and large events with church calendar


2. Oversee Children’s Choir program in conjunction with Kids Ministry


3. Supervise the maintenance and additions to Music Library (physical and electronic)


4. Consult with Lead Pastor on necessary music and media preparations for special church related activities and community events


5. Recruit, train, and deploy leaders and volunteers to serve on teams in the music ministry


6. Oversee and coordinate large Music Ministry productions when necessary


-PASTORAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS

1. Embrace and live out Westside’s: Mission, Vision, Marks, Strategy, and Core Values


2. Prepare and oversee with wise stewardship budgets related to leadership


3. Serve as Staff Liaison for ad hoc committees as needed by Lead Pastor and Ministries and Administration Pastor


4. Cooperate with Associational, State at SBC leaders in carrying out activities of mutual interest

6. Coordinates with multisite Campus Pastors giving overall direction for worship leaders at all venues and campuses
