The Family Pastor's role is to oversee the spiritual formation of VIVE
Kids, focusing on newborns to VIVE Students, by executing the vision and discipleship process of VIVE.
This involves managing the operations of VIVE Kids, recruiting and equipping leaders, and working
closely with families to cultivate a holistic approach to discipleship.
We are highly relational, aiming to raise and equip disciple-makers while partnering with parents to
raise the next generation of world changers. We believe there is no junior Holy Spirit. It is a core belief
that the same Holy Spirit that changes and shapes us as adults is very much active and alive in our
children and students. They are not the church of tomorrow but the church of today.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and oversee all aspects of early childhood through elementary including Sunday
- mornings and any special events.
- Provide visionary leadership and guidance from the kid's ministry through the youth ministry,
- fostering collaboration and unity across all age groups.
- Oversee the discipleship process by working with our Student Ministry Director
- Recruit, onboard, train, oversee, and equip all leaders for Sundays and any other special events
- Foster relationships with parents of the children at VIVE
- Be present and visible for parents and volunteers during events
- Create family events throughout the year
- Partner with parents and families to support and strengthen their role as primary spiritual
- influencers in their children’s lives.
- Coordinate and oversee curriculum selection, implementation, and evaluation for various age
- groups, ensuring alignment with the church's vision and values.
- Develop and administer the budget for children’s events
- Develop future plans and determine future needs for the children’s ministry
- Carry the culture of VIVE into early childhood
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have a passion and love for Christ and align with VIVE’s values and beliefs
- Sense of calling and passion for the position
- Proven experience in ministry leadership with children and youth who is a forward thinker and able
- to create exciting programs for our families.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to build and lead teams effectively.
- Experience in recruiting qualified leaders/volunteers
- Proficient in basic computer programs and functions: Microsoft Word, website navigation for our
- scheduling and curriculum, Canva, Excel, Google, Pinterest, etc.
- Team player able to carry out verbal or written instruction
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with attention to detail
- Must have passion for children and desire to communicate with children to build a strong children’s
- ministry

- Know how to pivot and meet the needs of each child/family that walks through our doors, while
- having expectations and rules in place.
