Associate Pastor

Position Summary:

 Leader of all Volunteer Ministries

 Assimilation of New Attendees

 Oversight of Facility Appearance

Spiritual Qualifications:

 A committed disciple of Jesus Christ

 Demonstrates a lifestyle of biblical eldership (Titus 1:5-9).

 Committed to the inspiration of Scripture (2 nd Timothy 3:16-17).

 A history of being a unifying presence in previous churches.

 Finds oneself in doctrinal agreement with Victory Life Church.

General Qualifications:

 Ability to effectively convey and implement the vision and goals of the

church.

 Demonstrates an ability to biblically inspire, vision with, galvanize and

manage volunteer leaders and teams.

 Attention to detail.

 Competence in systems analysis, design, implementation, and management.

 Aptitude for effective communication in large and small settings.

Job Responsibilities:

 Implement the vision of the church by coordinating between staff, trustees

and volunteer leaders.

 Work with volunteer leaders to ensure a positive experience for first time

attenders and return visitors.

 Assimilate regular attenders into church life via baptism, volunteerism,

discipleship placement, and membership.

 Work with certain volunteer teams for oversight of facilities and grounds.

 Develop a team and oversee communications including the church website,

social media, community publicity, and in service video production.

 Work with Senior Pastor to encourage cogent communication in the Sunday

morning worship experience.

 Participate in the Sunday morning worship service as needed.

 Participate in pastoral duties as requested by the Senior Pastor or as needed.

Education and Experience:

 3 or more years’ experience in multi-staff church ministry.

 Pastoral, Theological, and/or Missiological Education.

 Degree in field germane to the position.
