Senior/Lead Minister

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead: The Senior/Lead Minister is expected to lead and shepherd the congregation alongside the Elders, working together to create long-range goals and carry out KRCC's mission within our church and community.

Minister: The Senior/Lead Minister is expected to prepare and preach scripturally accurate, relevant sermons each Sunday, as well as participate in leading Bible Study and grow disciples within smaller group settings.

Supervise/Mentor: The Senior/Lead Minister is responsible for supervising and mentoring a current 2-person paid church staff (full time Student Minister, and part time Office Manager) and volunteers, fostering teamwork and accountability to support the mission of the church.

Pastoral Care: The Senior/Lead Minister works to strengthen the spiritual health and well-being of the congregation; providing counseling, performing weddings and funerals, and giving pastoral care to the sick and shut-ins.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● The successful candidate must be a mature Christian who meets the qualifications of an Elder (1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9)

● Have a personal sense of calling from God to Christian ministry (1 Timothy 4:6-16)

● Degree in Christian ministry with practical ministry experience within an organized Christian church

● Preferred 3-5 years of experience in pastoral ministries and 2 years of experience in a lead ministerial role

Kirkwood Road Christian Church (KRCC) is a non-denominational fellowship of approximately 100 people in weekly attendance from all walks of life located in Kirkwood, MO, a West County suburb of St. Louis, MO.

We have no creed but Christ, no name except what is found in the New Testament that describes followers of Jesus Christ, and no human hierarchy that governs us. We have no tests of fellowship that are based upon creeds or human tradition. We are an independent church whose dependency is on Jesus Christ and the word of God.
