Job Title: Forged In Faith Church Kids Pastor
Reports To: Executive Pastor/ Lead Pastor
Summary: Serve as Kids Pastor/ Director for a well-developed but simple children’s ministry called “The Foundry” (Nursery-5th Grade) of Forged In Faith Church (“The Forge”). Main responsibilities include leading, training, managing, and caring for our team of coordinators and volunteers to effectively provide a high quality, safe, and fun experience where kids encounter the presence of God and learn about Him through biblical teaching.
Work week: This is a part time, salaried position requiring 15-20 hours per week. 3 weeks of paid time off per year is included.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Submit to the vision and direction of the Lead Pastor through the oversight of the Executive Pastor.
Recruit, train, lead and care for coordinators for Nursery, Preschool, and Elementary ministries as well as leaders and volunteers for weekend services. Also oversees/ appoints/ or provides child care for mid week Family Life Group Nights/ services (seasonal), and some church-wide events.
Assure all volunteers on the team have been properly scheduled and address any areas that are undermanned.
Communicate weekly in all available forms (phone, text, email, social media)- in whatever format is most appropriate for the use- with parents and guardians about Sunday ministry and content.
Develop and nurture a cohesive team of committed volunteers through regular meeting, strategy development, evaluation, prayer and care focused on the advancement of the vision of Forged and Faith Church through “The Foundry” Kids Ministry.
Choose, purchase, and execute curriculum for elementary aged Sunday ministry.
Manage budget for The Foundry and order all supplies.
Attend monthly Core Team leadership meetings, annual leadership retreats, and regular one on one meetings with supervisor.
Whenever there is full coverage- attend church services and grow relationships and friendships.

Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in children’s ministry.
2. History of team building and leadership.
3. Passion for high energy, well run, and caring children’s ministry.
4. Some formal biblical or ministry training a significant plus.

Extremely comfortable with teaching and participating in the pentecostal beliefs and
practices of Forged In Faith Church of the Assembly of God.
Provides visionary leadership in one area of ministry, equips people for ministry, and
exhibits the characteristics of a pastor/ elder according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
