Morning Star Fellowship is a 17-year-old church plant that opened a second campus in September 2020. We are a multi-generational church that is full of wonderful people.   

We are passionate about reaching the lost and being a light in our community. Our Core Values are as follows: It's all about Jesus, We are here for others, We are here to serve, we are sacrificially generous, and we are united in purpose. We strive to be a church that would be missed if our doors closed tomorrow. With that being said, since day one, we have held many yearly free community outreaches. We believe heavily in missions, both foreign and domestic.

We have two Sunday morning services where Children's Ministries are provided. We are looking for a team player who is motivated by love and the mission of the church. Currently, we have three part-time Children's leaders who will be part of this team.

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Be well organized, have the ability to build teams, and encourage growth.
• Be articulate a vision for Children's Ministry.
• Evaluate and implement all planned programs for Children's Ministry.
• Manage volunteers through a screening process, with the help of other staff in our Children-Family ministry.
• Schedule teachers and volunteers for all services where the Children’s Ministry is needed.
• Train, lead, and equip volunteers.
• Be the “go-to” person of all things Kids Ministry on a Sunday morning.
• Lead and or provide for special events such as Christmas Programs, camps, outreaches to families.
• Be a key player in Morning Star's community outreach.
• Have a Biblical or Educational degree.
• Have previous experience, but we will not disqualify someone who shows initiative.
• Connect to families, both old and new.
• Enjoy people and be welcoming and warm.
• Plan family events or ministries to strengthen the family.
• Have the ability to learn software programs for scheduling (We currently use ELVANTO-Tithely)

We currently use The Gospel Project Curriculum in all our children’s classes but have thought about changing to the BIBLE PROJECT through the Assemblies of God. 

Related responsibilities

• Set up and tear down of classrooms as needed
• Keeping classroom stocked with items needed, ordering supplies, and reporting any big needs to the Administrator
• Keep classrooms looking exciting and theme-based as needed.

All Team Members are expected:

• To be at church at 7:30 am on Sunday mornings ready to minister to this body of believers.
• To be ready spiritually
• To be prompt to all staff meetings that are called (scheduled Monday Mornings)
• Follow up and “pastor” families in your area of ministry with regards to home and hospital visits.
• Have a “whatever It takes” attitude and work as a team member.

Considerations: This position will require that you work some evenings and Saturdays depending on the church schedule. Comp days are always available.  You are required to work on Sunday and vacation allowance on a Sunday is limited to one Sunday per week of your vacation allotment. 

Work Week: All pastoral staff members are permitted to take off on Fridays. Saturday’s are not considered a “workday.” More information on this subject is given in the Employee Manual.
