Pastor of Students and Young Adults

Position Overview:

Westminster Baptist Church seeks a Pastor who will oversee and be a co-laborer in the students and young adult ministries. This Pastor will cast vision and develop strategies that will be a catalyst for WBC’s overall mission and vision. He will help ensure that discipleship is taking place throughout church life, especially from teens into adulthood by being passionate about developing leaders, training them for evangelism, and equipping them to make disciples.

Church Overview:

Westminster Baptist Church is a growing church with a passion for making disciples of Christ. It is situated in Westminster, Carroll County, Maryland, which is primarily a suburban/rural environment. Westminster serves as a bedroom community for both Baltimore and Washington, DC. There are over 17,000 households - mainly unchurched - within five (5) miles of the church.

Salary: $55,000-$65,000 total compensation

Paid Sick Leave

Paid Vacation up to 10 days per year

We are looking for a pastor who is passionate about discipleship, ministry to the oppressed throughout Maryland and globally, and Church Revitalization with the vision to revitalize other churches throughout mid-Maryland. Our Church has recently invested in creating a better environment for our children, and students. The revitalization effort here is continuing into maturity, and we are seeing people excited about the future, a fast pace of growth, and an existing group of members ready to serve God. I want to invest in you, to walk through life with you and your family, and ultimately to see you fulfill God’s calling for your life. I’m 34, married to Rachel and have three kids. I went to school at Ouachita Baptist University and SEBTS. I love to hang out with my family, endurance sports, primitive camping, fishing, team sports, grill out, play board games, and global missions.
