Full Charge Bookkeeper
Full Time, Salary, On Site
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for management of all financial transactions of the church and reports directly to the Senior Pastors and Overseers.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manage church finances using QuickBooks software
- Process payroll
- Create and manage budgets
- Provide insight for financial forecasting
- Prepare monthly and annual reports
- Understanding of state and federal tax code
- Manage church financial records and transactions
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastors and Overseers
- Maintain confidentiality of all church records and financial status
- Work with outside CPA Firm
Full Charge Bookkeeper Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software QuickBooks including experience with other tax preparation and accounting software
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights
- Manage fixed assets and long-term debt
- Experience in managing and processing payroll and payroll taxes including returns, end of year W2 form and maintain records
- Experience with church and/or nonprofit organizations
