Afterschool Site Leader/Community Pastor

Position Title: Neighborhood Hub Site Leader/Community Pastor 

Status (Full time/part time): Full time 

Reports to: Neighborhood Hub program director 

Department: Youth

Position Summary: The Hub site leader is the person who is in charge of the day to day ministry at the assigned Hub program. The Site leader is also a community pastor, this means that they keep a pulse on the neighborhood and are expected to be a part of the neighborhood. 

Primary responsibilities: 

• Watching over and caring for the volunteers at the assigned program
• Ensure the space is presentable and ready for designated activities
• Handle any conflict between youth that attends the program
• Be present at all assigned programming
• Attend all required meetings
• Live within close proximity to assigned program
• Build relationships with the surrounding community
• Support others on the AfterSchool team
• Mentor/Coach youth 
• Work 35+ hours a week with flexibility
• Agreement and comply with BLOC employee handbook
• Raise support for full time salary 

Required skills and experience: 

• Conflict management and resolution
• A passion for and experience with youth 
• Experience managing resources 
• Basic de escalation techniques  
• Leadership skills
• Leadership experience is preferred but not required
• A willingness for innovation 
• A relationship with Jesus and a desire to share Him with others
• A willingness to learn
