About the Position
This position will provide overall direction to Southcliff’s mission in the area of Worship. This pastor will develop a strategic worship plan and work in collaboration with other pastors and staff to ensure commitment to that plan. This plan will include corporate and personal worship opportunities at every level, leadership development of all areas that contribute to this strategy; such as, music development, arts development and technological support for worship.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an overall corporate worship strategy for the church
- Develop a strategy to encourage growth in the area for personal worship
- Recruit, enlist and train for adult worship positions
- Develop and implement weekly corporate worship services
- Develop and implement special corporate worship services
- Lead weekly and special corporate worship services
- Recruit, enlist, and train all worship and music leaders, both volunteer and paid
Additional Responsibilities:
- Coordinate age graded music programs
- Coordinate age graded worship arts programs
- Recruit, enlist, and train leaders in worship music and worship arts programs
- Collaborate with other Strategy Pastors on church wide events
- Conduct ministerial duties as needed
Supervisory Duties and Relationships:
- Direct: Adult Worship Organization leadership
- Worship Tech employees
- Age Graded worship music and worship art volunteers and employees
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Southcliff’s policies and procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training of employees supervised; collaborating on planning and directing of their respective ministries; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
