About The Hearth

The Hearth is a church outside of church concept that meets in a local brewery on Sunday mornings and a local bar on Wednesday evenings. We are committed to creating a trauma-informed, safe, and welcoming religious community for people from all walks of life, especially those who have experienced religious or spiritual trauma, are actively deconstructing toxic theology, and want to reconstruct a healthy relationship with God. We are a part of the ELCA denomination (ELCA.org) and dedicated to spreading the Gospel to all those who are seeking. We are a relatively small congregation (approximately 100 members with a weekly attendance of about 50-60) that values authentic relationships and the healing power of true community. Our music ranges from traditional hymns to contemporary worship as well as thoughtful and intentional secular music.
