Associate Pastor

Position Overview
The Associate Pastor will serve under the direct oversight of the Lead Pastor and play a vital role in the spiritual and operational leadership of the church. This individual will provide direct pastoral oversight for Discipleship, Connections and Family Life.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pastoral Leadership
- Build genuine, loving relationships within the congregation and surrounding community;
- In partnership with the Lead Pastor, provide pastoral care and support to the congregation;
- Preach/Teach 6-8 times per year (Sunday mornings/special services) & regularly host our worship service
2. Discipleship
- Work directly with the lead pastor and staff to build a culture of discipleship throughout Beacon Church;
- Oversee Beacon Life and continue to develop clear discipleship pathways for children, youth and adults;
- Advance groups as a tool for connection, spiritual growth and care leading our groups leadership team.
3. Connection/Groups
- Develop a clear and effective strategy to help attendees easily take next steps in their relationship with God and the church community;
- Oversee and facilitate our monthly Beacon Life Meeting
- Oversee and connect with our Home and Connect Groups
- Train ministry leaders throughout the congregation in outreach, hospitality, relational evangelism and care;
- Lead and advance a culture of hospitality;
- Oversee next steps process.
3. Family Life
- Provide spiritual leadership, guidance, and oversight to our family life ministry
- Provide support to the Children’s Ministry Director, ensuring alignment with the church’s vision and values.
- Collaborate with the Children’s Ministry Director to ensure a safe, engaging, and biblically sound environment for children.
4. Additional Responsibilities
- Additional roles to make this a full-time position may be in the areas of operations/administration, communications/design and weekend services. Hours and responsibilities would be tailored to the candidates capabilities and capacity.

Qualifications
- Commitment to growing in your own personal faith and discipling others.
- A self-starter with strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others and work under the direction of the Lead Pastor and the oversight of the elders.
- A heart for outreach and a passion for reaching the lost.
- Ability to lead with vision, creativity, and innovation.
- Love those you serve and have a driving passion to see that they know, trust, and follow Jesus.
- Help contribute toward a dynamic ministry environment.
- Connect, relate and build strong relationships with all ages to teach, shepherd, and disciple.
- Communicate effectively with Beacon Church Staff, Volunteers, and Parents
- Alignment with the church’s doctrinal beliefs and mission.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in relevant church leadership roles
