Associate Director of Young Adult Ministries
Job Summary
The Associate Director of Young Adult Ministries at The River Anglican Church is a passionate follower of Jesus who is self-motivated, enjoys administration and program coordination, mentoring young adults, building new relationships, and connecting young adults into the life of The River.
Responsibilities
Discipleship & Relational Ministry
- Collaborate with the Director of Young Adult Ministries to create a welcoming environment for all young adults.
- Help disciple regular attenders and follow-up with new or disengaged participants, especially females, to encourage growth and connection.
Ministry Support & Event Coordination
- Assist in the planning, communication, and execution of ministry events for Young Adult Ministries, ensuring events are well-organized and mission-aligned.
- Serve as a point of contact for participants regarding event details, ministry activities, and group involvement.
Team Collaboration & Church Involvement
- Support The River’s Fellows Program, assisting with administration and mentoring, especially of female participants.
- Participate in regular check-ins for collaboration with the Director of Young Adult Ministries to align on ministry goals, share updates, and receive mentorship and support.
- Attend River staff meetings and engage as a collaborative team member within the wider church staff.
- Be actively involved in the life of The River, including regular Sunday attendance and participation in congregational events.
Qualifications
- A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by spiritual maturity.
- Relevant education and/or ministry experience with emphasis on young adults.
- Self-starter with ability to oversee the Young Adult Ministries.
Job Classification
This is a part-time, hourly (non-exempt) position with an average of 20 hours per week. Salary is commensurate with experience. This position can be held by a person who is in The River’s Fellows Program.
