Another way we minister to the community is through Christ-centered education. First Academy Preschool is located at the Downtown Campus and serves 150+ preschoolers and their families on weekdays. First Academy is also located at the Downtown Campus and serves 500+ K-12 students and their families on weekdays.

About the Oxford Campus

The Oxford Campus is our newest and fastest-developing location, launched in April 2025 through a strategic partnership with a local church.

We’re blessed with twenty acres of debt-free property in a growing area of Central Florida. The campus includes two modern, well-maintained buildings and a strong core group of people hungry for spiritual leadership and gospel movement.

Oxford itself is home to about 6,000 residents, with Wildwood (Florida's fastest-growing city) just to the south (30,000+), and The Villages—a rapidly expanding community of 80,000+—just to the east. The strategic potential of this campus is enormous.

About the Position

We’re looking for a highly relational, spiritually mature Associate Worship Pastor to help lead the way at our Oxford Campus. As the newest location of First Baptist Leesburg, Oxford is still in the early stages of growth—making this a ground-floor opportunity to shape the worship culture of a developing campus while being fully supported by the larger FBCL Worship Ministry Team. You will serve as the primary worship leader at Oxford on Sundays and contribute regularly to church-wide worship gatherings, creative projects, and ministry initiatives. Because this is a new work, you’ll also be expected to engage in other areas of campus ministry such as outreach efforts, pastoral care (i.e. hospital visits), discipleship (i.e. leading or co-leading a small group), and hands-on support for special events. We’re looking for someone who is not only pastoral and musically gifted, but who also embraces the flexibility and joy of serving wherever needed to help a new campus thrive. This is a great fit for someone who thrives in a collaborative, multi-campus environment and is eager to build something meaningful from the ground up.

·       Be a giver of record to First Baptist Church Leesburg

·       Maintain a passion for and dedication to personal evangelism

·       Pray daily for our church and its leadership

·       Attend weekly leadership staff meetings

·       Attend annual leadership staff retreats

·       Gladly accept all other duties as assigned

Worship Ministry Responsibilities

Church-Wide

·       Be available to serve with the Worship Ministry at monthly First Wednesday Prayer gatherings

·       Help plan and execute annual church-wide worship gatherings, such as our Christmas concerts

·       Lead worship at church-wide gatherings (retreats, conferences, etc.) as assigned by Lead Worship Pastor

·       Help install and/or repair AVL at any location as assigned by Lead Worship Pastor

·       Contribute to church-wide creative content (graphic design, video production, communications, website, social media, etc.) as assigned by Lead Worship Pastor

·       Be available to do music as needed for weddings and funerals

Oxford Campus

·       Lead the congregation to worship God through singing every Sunday morning (blended worship style)

·       Lead productive rehearsals every Wednesday night

·       Plan and oversee the entire order of service for all Sunday morning services every weekend

·       Build and maintain a strong team of volunteers (choir members, tech members, instrumentalists, vocalists, etc.) with an emphasis on leadership development and generational diversity

·       Model spiritual maturity, both on-stage and off-stage, such that your team and our congregation develop a deeper love for Christ

·       Contribute to campus-specific creative content (graphic design, video production, communications, website, social media, etc.) as assigned by Oxford Campus Pastor

Potential Weekly Schedule (40 hours per week)

·       Sundays 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM · lead worship at OX

·       Mondays 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM · office at DT

·       Tuesdays 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM · leadership staff meeting + office at DT

·       Wednesdays 9:30 AM – 7:30 PM · office at OX + lead rehearsal at OX

·       Thursdays 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM · office at OX

·       Fridays & Saturdays OFF (with the exception of special events)
