Overview:
Lake Springs Church is a growing, non-denominational Christian community located in the heart of downtown Holly Springs, North Carolina. We are devoted to fostering spiritual growth and authentic relationships within the body of Christ. Our mission centers around becoming more like Jesus and helping others do the same—reflecting His love to those around us—while being firmly rooted in the truth and guidance of God’s Word as we serve our local Holly Springs community.
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated Lead Pastor to guide our congregation in spiritual growth, biblical teaching, and fostering community relationships. The ideal candidate will be one who meets the Biblical qualifications of the title of Pastor as stated in the New Testament, and have a deep commitment to the Word of God, a servant-leader heart for people, and the ability to shepherd and lead a small but dynamic staff team, helping them fulfill their respective ministry roles while strengthening the church's overall mission.
Responsibilities:
Preaching and Teaching:
○ Deliver biblically sound and relevant sermons that challenge, inspire, and encourage the congregation.
○ Teach and lead Bible studies, adult education classes, and help oversee small group ministries.
○ Ensure doctrinal integrity in all church teachings, aligning with the values and mission of the church.
Leadership and Vision:
○ Cast and maintain the vision for the church, aligning it with the mission of making disciples and reaching the local community.
○ Provide spiritual leadership to staff, volunteers, and congregation members, fostering a culture of growth, unity, and service.
○ Oversee and mentor other staff members and ministry leaders in the church, ensuring they are equipped to lead their respective areas effectively.
○ Lead staff meetings, offering guidance, prayer, and support as the team works to serve the church and its mission.
○ Encourage and promote ongoing professional and spiritual development for staff
Pastoral Care:
○ Provide spiritual guidance, counsel, and support to individuals and families in the congregation.
○ Perform baptisms, weddings, funerals, and other sacramental responsibilities.
Community Engagement and Outreach:
○ Actively engage in the local community to build relationships and strengthen the church’s presence and impact.
○ Lead and encourage the church in outreach programs, missions, and local service projects to reach those who are unchurched and underserved.
Worship and Ministry Oversight:
○ While the Worship Leader is responsible for the music ministry, the Lead Pastor should work closely with the Worship Leader to ensure worship services are spiritually enriching, focused on God’s Word, and integrated with the church’s vision.
○ Ensure that the children’s ministry aligns with the church’s overall spiritual direction and that it is an effective tool for discipleship.
Qualifications:
● Meets the Biblical standards for the title of Pastor as defined by the New Testament teachings
● A strong and mature Christian faith, committed to living out the teachings of Jesus Christ.
● Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, Theology, or related field
● Minimum of 5 years of pastoral experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (preferably in a non-denominational setting).
● Demonstrated ability to preach and teach the Word of God in a clear, engaging, and relevant manner.
● Experience leading a staff team and volunteers, with a heart for mentoring and developing others.
● Ability to manage church operations and administrative responsibilities effectively.
● Strong relational and communication skills, with a pastoral heart for caring for individuals and families.
● Knowledge of current ministry trends and a passion for outreach and community service.

Compensation:
Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications, and will include a comprehensive benefits package.
