Lead a growing discipleship and evangelism ministry for middle and high school students. Responsibilities include: Building an effective team of Sunday School teachers; Preaching for Wednesday student worship services; Developing a student praise band; Establishing positive relationships with local schools; Leading special activities like DNOW, retreats, and mission trips; Living as a Christ-like example in personal discipleship and concern for others.
First Baptist Alabaster is cooperating Southern Baptist Church. We are a multi-generational congregation with strong ministries for children, students, and adults. Our total membership is about 1600, but Sunday attendance (SS and Worship) is about 600. We have two Sunday worship services, traditional and contemporary. Dr. Andrews has been the pastor for 14 years. Other full-time staff includes: Minister of Education, Minister of Worship, Minister of Children, and Minister of Students. Our most recent Student Pastor just resigned after six years to accept a position at another church. We strive to connect people to Christ through worship; grow the congregation through the Word of God; and reach the world through missions and evangelism.
