Youth Directer

Trinity Global Methodist Church seeks a part-time Youth Director to lead a Christ-centered ministry for middle and high school students. The role focuses on spiritual growth, leadership development, and fostering youth leadership in a team environment. Applicants must have a strong commitment to the Holy Bible and Global Methodist doctrine.

Key Responsibilities

·        Spiritual Care: Provide for the spiritual care and development of youth, both middle and high school to encourage our youth in their understanding of the Word of God and its practical application to their daily walk with Jesus.

·        Program Leadership: Plan and lead weekly Youth Ministry, Bible studies, Sunday School, and small group meetings that engage, challenge, and encourage spiritual growth among middle and high school students.

·        Relational Ministry: Build strong, supportive relationships with youth, providing mentorship and guidance in their faith journey.

·        Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and supervise adult leaders willing to be involved in the lives and the ministry to teenagers.

·        Event Planning: Organize retreats, mission trips, Christian concerts, service projects, and other special events that provide opportunities for youth to grow spiritually and develop leadership skills.

·        Creativity: Innovative approach to youth ministry, particularly in engaging youth in nurturing their spiritual growth.

·        Empathy: Understanding and compassionate toward the needs and challenges facing youth.

·        Information Management: Collaborate closely with the IT department to leverage social media and emerging technologies in order to engage the youth, all while ensuring compliance with safety policies and Trinity Methodist best practices.

Working Conditions

·        Supervision: Reports to the Senior Pastor and Church Administrator for guidance in youth ministry at Trinity Methodist Church.

·        Hours: Part-time position with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to accommodate youth activities.

·        Environment: Work is done in a combination of remote and on-site work, with on-site work done in a personal office.

·        Schedule: A typical work week is 15 hours, with exceptions for youth retreats, confirmation, and Holy days.

Qualifications

·        Two years or more paid or volunteer youth ministry experience.

·        Bachelor's degree in ministry, theology, education, counseling or a related field preferred.

Compensation

·        Salary is set at an annual salary in the range of $15,000- $18,000.

·        Benefits are not included in the compensation.

·        Mileage reimbursement for expected occasional travel.
