Summary

We are seeking a talented and ministry-driven Church Multimedia/Audio Visual Specialist to oversee and enhance our church’s worship and digital media experiences. This role focuses primarily on video production, livestreaming, and multimedia content creation, while also supporting audio/sound engineering as a secondary function. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and equipped with both technical skill and a passion for ministry.

This individual will collaborate closely with department heads and ministry leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that reflects the mission, vision, and heart of our church. The successful candidate will thrive at the intersection of creativity and structure, capable of managing multiple projects while delivering high-quality, spiritually impactful content.

Primary Responsibilities

Video & Visual Media

  • Operate video cameras, switchers, and capture devices during worship services and events.
  • Direct and produce livestream broadcasts and in-house video feeds (e.g., overflow rooms, stage displays).
  • Edit and publish sermon recordings, ministry interviews, and promotional videos for online use.
  • Enhance content with visual elements such as lower-thirds, transitions, overlays, and branded animations.

Multimedia Design & Content Creation

  • Design high-quality graphics for sermon slides, event flyers, social media posts, newsletters, and other church materials.
  • Create short promotional and storytelling videos using motion graphics and animation tools.
  • Develop content that aligns with the church’s mission and visual branding for use across all platforms.

Digital Ministry & Online Presence

  • Manage media uploads to the church website, YouTube, and social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with the communications and ministry teams to develop content calendars and digital campaigns.
  • Maintain visual and technical consistency across all digital channels, supporting online community growth and engagement.

Secondary Responsibilities

Sound Engineering & Technical Support

  • Assist with setup, operation, and troubleshooting of the church’s audio systems for worship services and events.
  • Support live audio mixing, microphone placement, and playback as needed.
  • Provide backup and support to the primary sound engineer during livestreams and recordings.
  • Help maintain and inventory multimedia and AV equipment.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in multimedia production, videography, or AV operation (church or live event experience preferred).
  • Proficient with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and livestreaming platforms (OBS, ProPresenter, vMix, etc.).
  • Skilled in graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
  • Strong creative and storytelling abilities, with an eye for visual branding and presentation.
  • Able to work Sundays, holidays, and evenings as required by church programming.
  • Alignment with the mission, values, and vision of the church.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with church worship culture and media environments.
  • Basic knowledge of sound engineering principles and AV system maintenance.
  • Experience working with volunteers or media teams in a ministry setting.
  • Degree or certification in Media Production, Graphic Design, or a related field is a plus.

We are seeking a Multimedia Specialist who will help us amplify our mission by enhancing our digital presence, storytelling, and creative communication—helping us reach more people and grow our community both in-person and online.
