OUR HOPES AND ASPIRATIONS FOR THE NEW RECTOR:
TSRC is not in search of or in need of the second coming of Reverend Billy Graham. But we do
envision that our next rector will possess the following qualities and characteristics:
(1) To be our Spiritual Director and Counselor who will preach and teach God’s Holy Word with
enthusiasm, in a manner that is easily understood, and is shown to be pertinent to our daily
lives.
(2) To be a Pastor who has profound compassion and empathy for all people, and is open to
inviting anyone seeking God’s wisdom, mercy, and grace to worship alongside us weekly.
(3) To be a moral role model for us, and to be a person of deep Biblical Faith and engaged in a
consequential Prayer life.
(4) To possess notable experience in Church Growth programs, or to be willing to engage in
activities that would bring positive results in an area that is vital to TSRC at this particular
juncture in our history as a parish.
(5) To be one who is a decisive leader, yet simultaneously one who is flexible, available, and
approachable to all who call upon him.
(6) To be a person who maintains an open and transparent communications pathway with his
parishioners at all times.
(7) To possess at a minimum, a degree from an accredited seminary and from two (2) to five (5)
years experience as a rector or associate rector at a parish of comparable size or larger than
The Solid Rock Church.
(8) To possess adequate experience dealing with parish administration and operations, while
striving to align expectations with financial realities.
We are intentionally and unapologetically a place where you can find a home, whether you come in blue jeans, a suit, or in your favorite teams jersey, whether you are rich or poor, greatest or least.
You will experience authentic worship, relevant messages, and encounter God who leads, restores, heals, answers prayer, and transforms our lives.
Your children will be well cared for. You can expect to be loved and you should expect smiles
