Job Description

Principle Purpose: The Student Ministry Pastor’s primary purpose is to equip, empower, and build on the existing team of student ministry coaches who guide students toward maturity in Christ by sharing the truth of the gospel through trusting relationships.


Summary of responsibilities:

  • Outreach and Evangelism: Daily involvement in community school campuses and community student events.
  • Leadership and Development: Recruit, inspire, and equip teams of adult coaches to disciple students.
  • Organization and Discipleship: Oversee the growth and direction of all Middle School and High School ministry environments.
  • Mission and Vision: Live out the mission of Connections Student Ministry and strive to realize the current vision statement.
  • Team and Partnership: Collaborate with leaders of other ministries to disciple families and integrate the student ministry with the broader church.
  • Ministry Strategy and Budget: Assist in the development, implementation, and execution of the annual ministry plan.
