Mt. Elon Baptist Church is seeking a visionary who will serve as a key leader in overseeing and nurturing the spiritual growth of youth at Mt. Elon Baptist Church. This role is designed with a focus on two primary areas: 80% of the role will be dedicated to Youth Ministry (6th-12th grade), and 20% will be focused on Recreation Ministry. The Associate Pastor of Youth will work closely with parents, volunteers, and ministry teams to create a Christ-centered environment that fosters growth, discipleship, and strong relationships with both youth and families. We have just finished a building project and moved into our new family life center in August of 2025.
Mt. Elon is located right outside Hartsville, SC. While small in population, Hartsville offers many amenities that larger cities do such as; parks, tennis and pickle ball courts, sports complex, a water park, Lake Robinson, and many other activities and events. We are an hour and a half away from Myrtle Beach, thirty minutes away from Florence and about an hour away from Columbia.
As far as our church atmosphere we are a mixture of businessmen and women, health professionals, teachers, farmers, and everything in-between. When it comes to our worship service, our service style is not contemporary, we are what we like to call a relaxed praise and worship style. We strongly believe in Christ's command to love the Lord our God first and foremost and secondly to love our neighbors. Our heart at Mt. Elon is to serve God every day that we get to experience God's creation and we do so by intentionally trying to serve God, our church, and others where God has currently placed us.
