Two Associate Pastor Positions: Associate Pastor for Children and Youth and Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care and Community Ministries

Brick Presbyterian Church in New York City is seeking two Associate Pastors.

Associate Pastor for Children and Youth: Children’s, youth, and family ministries are among Brick’s strongest assets and most important growth opportunities. The Associate Pastor will build on our existing programs while helping us grow in our capacity to serve young families and broadening the understanding of what “family” means within our community. The Associate Pastor should be a competent and confident preacher capable of offering biblically grounded, thoughtful, and relevant sermons, as well as Children’s Messages.

The Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care and Community Ministries will provide the pastoral presence needed for one-on-one care, crisis support, and churchwide care initiatives, as well as spiritual teaching and formation to help deepen faith across our members.  The Associate Pastor should be a competent and confident preacher capable of offering biblically grounded, thoughtful, and relevant sermons.

Brick Church holds strong traditions, high theological diversity, and a highly educated membership. Our new Associate Pastors will honor these strengths while discerning faithful change. They will help us engage the increasing cultural and ethnic diversity of our members and our Upper East Side neighborhood, an exciting opportunity that requires pastoral wisdom, cultural fluency, and a spirit of welcome.
