Children and Family Minister

Seeking someone passionate and called to serve as a Children’s and Family Minister at Adaville Baptist Church. We are prayerfully searching for someone experienced in serving a church as a Children's/Family Minister with at least two years of experience working for a church in this specific capacity. This person must be capable of serving at least 20 hours per week during the year with some flex time in summer months if part-time and must be available for at least two half-days a week in the office including Wednesday staff meetings and appointments with parents as necessary. If full-time, 40+ hours a week with Monday-Thursday office hours included with outside visits and events.

         Must prepare and lead the ministry on Wednesday night Discipleship, Sunday Children's Church, and plan all Children’s activities, including Holiday events. Must oversee and secure volunteers for the Nursery on Sundays and Wednesdays, as well as secure childcare for Church functions that require it. The Children's and Family Minister will work with and lead the Children's Ministry Team in all planning and training.

         Salary starts at $20,000 for part-time and up to $40,000 with benefits if full-time based on education and experience. Position can also start part-time and become full-time with benefits. We align with the BFM 2000 and are a Great Commission church. We believe in Family Discipleship and teaching all ages that we are called to be disciples who make disciples. Key Responsibilities:

•        Oversee weekly children's ministry programming and special events

•        Plan and implement faith-based activities aligned with the church's mission

•        Serve as the point person for volunteer recruitment, training, and        scheduling

•        Lead regular children's ministry team meetings

•        Manage communication via email, Facebook, newsletter, or other group       communication platforms

•        Support administrative needs including records and church safety       procedures

•        Substitute teach in children's programs when needed

Qualifications:

•        A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to disciple children

•        Experience leading children's ministry in a church 

•        Strong leadership and organizational skills

•        Effective communicator and team player

•        Comfortable using digital tools and social media

•        Will affirm and teach according to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
