Senior Pastor

We are seeking a full-time ordained Pastor to serve over three churches in rural Iowa. The churches are Salem Church in Lincoln, Iowa, Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center, Iowa and Union Congregational Church of Christ in Reinbeck, Iowa. We are all within 10 to 15 miles of each other. We have had the opportunity to trial a sharing agreement since January 2026 and have enjoyed getting to know our neighbors. This is a work in progress and we are open to trying new ideas. Since January we have been worshipping together.

Main responsibilities would be

1) Worship leadership

2) Funeral, wedding, baptisms, confirmation, spiritual classes, pastoral care

3) Work with local church ministers/pastor in the community

4) Symbolic interpretation of biblical passages.

Qualifications and preferred skills

1) BA with Seminary degree/ordination

Salary commensurate with experience

The church culture offers close proximity to University of Northern Iowa including Waterloo and Cedar Falls. Small town living with professional services and shopping available. A critical access hospital in Grundy Center offering 24/7 emergency room services, surgery and various outpatient services with focus on personalized care for rural concern.
