Kids Pastor

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Kids Pastor who loves children, believes in the next generation, and is excited to create engaging, fun, and life-giving environments where kids and families can experience God and take their next steps in faith.

• Title: Kids Pastor - DGV
• Reports directly to: Lead Pastor - DGV
• Full Time

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Love kids by creating and leading engaging, fun, and safe environments
• Create and moderate curriculum that teaches God’s word, encouraging biblical literacy at a young age
• Engage kids during the week and on the weekend through an online content strategy
• Assist the Nursery/Preschool Director as needed
• Assist the Special events Childcare Team Leader as needed
• Coordinate and manage all Kid’s Ministry content in collaboration with Kid’s Pastors across all Chapelhill locations
• Oversee and manage the monthly Kid’s ministry budget
• Lead the DGV Kids Ministry Team
• Recruit, train, and develop adult and student volunteers
• Foster a strong partnership with Chapelhill Youth

REQUIREMENTS

• LOVES KIDS
• Minimum of 2 years experience leading/serving in kids ministry
• Committed to a Bible-centered worldview
• Needs to have high-level communication skills and the ability to connect well and relate to elementary kids
• Must be able to connect well and work with parents to partner for discipleship
• Must be a team player with a willingness to assist other team members with the execution of the overall church mission
• Must have demonstrated team-building skills
• Must be able to learn to work proficiently with Planning Center, Basecamp, and ProPresenter
