Children's Education Coordinator

Novi Korean Faith United Methodist Church is seeking a part-time Director of Christian Education to lead and strengthen faith formation for children and youth. The Director will partner with parents and caregivers, support volunteers, plan meaningful programs and events, and serve as a visible and encouraging presence in the life of the church.

Job Description

The Director of Christian Education will:

•    Disciple children, youth, and families through faith formation, participation in worship, and engagement in Christian community.

•    Plan and lead Sunday School and year-round ministry programs.

•    Recruit, equip, and support volunteers while maintaining child and youth protection standards.

•    Communicate effectively with families, pastors, church leaders, and the congregation regarding ministry needs and opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

•    Preferred: English and Korean language proficiency.

•    Energetic, committed Christian role model.

•    Strong administrative and creative skills for planning and facilitating programs.

•    Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and public.

•    Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and youth, while providing appropriate guidance, discipline, and structure.

•    Ability to recruit, train, and sustain volunteers from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Compensation

•    Pay: $150–$200 per week

•    Hours: 6–8 hours per week
